Itinerary

The guide will pick up you at 8 am from your hotel and we will start this day with exploring the temples of UNESCO listed Angkor National Park, the World Heritage site and it's the World Largest Religious Monument. Pay the entrance fee on your own account at the ticket office where we will stop for you to buy one and make your way with the guide to the first stop at Angkor Wat to visit the largest and most impressive of all Angkor temples, considered among one of the 7th Wonders of the World.

Angkor Wat was built between 1113-1150 AD and dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It's the best preserved of all the temples. Its layout and its scale are simply breathtaking, the wall surrounding the enclosure measures 1,000 by 800 meters and the moat, said to represent the oceans of the world is 200 meters wide. Angkor Wat is an architectural allegory of the mythical Mount Meru in the center of the world (Himalaya). This amazing temple homes the longest continuous bas relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls.

We also explore the Angkor Thom complex. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. Inside the walls the king, his relatives and officials, military officers and priests took residence, the rest of the people lived outside of the great enclosure, between the two artificial lakes. Our visit will begin with the South Gate, a beautiful introduction to Angkor Thom with well-restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge. Inside the complex, we will first visit the Bayon with 200 endless smiling faces. This temple mountain situated in the center of Angkor Thom City where sets the Bayon apart from many other Angkor monuments and we will continue to the Elephant Terrace, which owes its name to its outstanding depiction of these animals and the Terrace of Leper King, which presents a magnificent sculpture, popularly known as the leper king and then we continue the tour to Ta Phrom was a monastery built by the king Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother as well as a school.

Ta Phrom has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you will climb through the dilapidated stone structures you will see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. At every turn you will expect to see Indiana Jones (Lara Croft) step out from behind a fallen pillar around you.

This tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel or any requested drop off point within the city center.

Angkor day Tour

Phearom was excellent. He went above and beyond what he was required to do. Knowledgeable and eager to share. I would give him an A plus. Very professional -- also so the company he works for.

One Day Tour to Angkor Wat

Took a one-day tour to Angkor Wat with a friend of mine. Our tour guide was Mr. Sokvichet Chin. Was surprised that what initially was a small group tour turned out to me just me and my friend, and we didn’t have to rush from one places to another. Overall was a great tour, Chet took his time to bring us to some less crowded spots (we started off with Ta Phrom to avoid the tours), patiently explain about the history and mythology about every carvings and temple. May I add that he was also a great photographer! Telling us the best photo spots and thought us to do some funny poses. Will recommend Chet and this tour company for future tours!

Nice relaxed tour with knowledgeable and friendly guide.

From the the pickup to the drop off I was very impressed with how well the tour was run including a nice safe driver. Our guide Phearom was very friendly and knowledgeable both about the temples and surrounding area / history but he also knew how to avoid the crowds. The pace / speed of the tour was adjusted to everybody needs and it made for a very enjoyable day. I would highly recommend that you use this company for your tours.

Angkor wat

Phearom was a great tour guide. He was very professional and knowledgeable with the tours. We really enjoyed the visit. I felt like you would have to be semi active for the tour. It involves a lot of climbing stairs and walking. But phearom helps you out if you have trouble going up and down the stairs. I highly recommend him!!

Great day at The temples with Vichet!

Enjoyed a day tour at the temples with 5 others and special thanks to our English speaking tour guide Vichet and driver. We went to Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm. Left the hotel at 8am and returned at around 4pm. Vichet was very knowledgeable about the history and his energy and enthusiasm was very entertaining. He knew all the best places to take photos and happily took photos for us. He supplied us with cold water and umbrellas and took us to a restaurant for lunch break. The driver kept his van exceptionally clean as it was a wet and muddy day and we kept dragging mud in between temples. Every time we cam back to the van he had cleaned it while he was waiting for us to return. The two of them made a great team. Had an amazing day. Thank you!

Beyond expectations.

We were more than satisfied with the services of Green Era Travel. Our driver picked us up from the airport and delivered us back on time and as requested. The tour of the Angkor Wat temples and a day tour around Seim Reap came with a truely excellent Tour Guide: Van Lonh. He had an excellent knowedge of Seim Reap and the history of Cambodia. His tour was most informative and enjoyable. But he went beyond the call of duty, my wife had some special dietary needs and he made sure that those needs were catered for. Van Lonl made our trip to Cambodia special and memorable. We were very sorry to leave him and Siem Reap when it was our turn to Leave Seim Reap. If you are looking for a tour guide then it would be hard to find someone better than Van Lonl. Ask for him by name, nothing is a problem for him to solve for you. If you are lucky, Van Lonh will be your tour guide!

Pleasantly surprised.

We booked through a tour group in Sydney and had no idea who would be conducting the tour when we arrived in Seim Reap. As it turned out Green Travel supplied a driver and Tour Guide. We were collected at the airport on time upon arrival. Our driver was most courteous and, in the traffic, he was a safe driver. We had two day tours booked and out Tour Guide was Van Lonh. He an excellent knowledge of Siem Reap, the Temples and the history of Cambodia. He made out trip to Seim Reap enjoyable and satisfying. I can’t recommend Van Lonh more highy enough other than to say that if you, have Van Lonh as a tour guide then you will be lucky and you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank you Grreen Era Travel and Van Lonh.
