Small-Group Explore Angkor Wat Tour with Guide from Siem Reap (6-7h)

We were worried that a full day tour would be too much time spent at Ankor Wat, especially in the heat, but the time went so quickly and we are VERY glad we chose a full-day instead of a half day - especially as the admission price to the National Park is $37 and there is SO much to see. With this tour company you are helpfully picked up from your hotel, guided to buy your tickets, then driven to the first temples (Ankor Thom, the monkey temple & the tomb raider temple!). We were then taken to a lovely air conditioned Khmer restaurant for lunch, and when visiting Ankor Wat we were led through the much more quiet back entrance to Ankor Wat, meaning we could get photos with virtually no one in them! Brilliant idea. Our tour guide, Van Lohn, was especially good. He really made this tour special for up - he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the temple but also answered my countless questions about Cambodian culture in such a positive way, he knew all the best places to get photos (especially of Ankor Wat itself and the tomb raider temple) meaning we didn't have to queue up for ages with the rest of the tourists and he even offered to take photos of us. He was also very flexible - if we didn't want to do a certain thing (such as climbing to the top of the second temple, and we didn't want to stay until the sunset) he would give us all the information and gave us lots of options. I was very impressed and if we had stayed in Siem Reap for longer I would have booked further tours with Green Era travel because of him. Thanks for a great day

This was a fantastic tour which was well organised and great fun. Particular thanks to our tour guide Van lonh, who was both knowledgeable and humorous. I would highly recommend this tour- if possible ask for Van lonh!

Had a fantastic day at the Angkor national park with my tour guide van Lonh what an absolutely great guy he was always with a smile on his face and knows exactly the best places to take amazing photos his knowledge of the area was fantastic and very in depth. We got a day tour at Angkor which was wondefull!! Very well organised and with aircon van. The tour was very well organised. Our guide, Van Lonh was brilliant! Very knowledgable and above all he knew all the good picture spots!

The cost was comparable with hiring a tuktuk, the big difference is having a guide to explain historical information and details which I would have overlooked otherwise. Our guide, Hok San was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and speaks good English. I would have stayed a little bit more at each stop to take photographs, but I still think that we were never rushed to take in all the incredible sights and understand the history. He also made sure to make the tour as personal as possible as he treated us more like a friend rather than just another client.
