Itinerary

Begin your adventure with pickup from your Siem Reap hotel for the roughly 45-minute journey to Kompong Phluk. Depending on the season, you’ll travel by minibus (February to July) or by minibus and boat (August to January). Transfer to a small boat and set sail along the lake, passing stilted houses and schools, floating markets, pagodas, and fishing boats as your guide tells you more about local life, customs, and traditions.

Wet-season visitors can also opt to enjoy a traditional canoe ride around the flooded forests (for an additional expense) and experience the region’s unique ecosystem as you glide between the semi-submerged trees.

Back in Siem Reap, your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

Very good tour!! Must See

The tour guide was very informative and helpful. They picked us up at the hotel. The tour was half day, but you can see a lot in half day. The tour does not include a boat that goes through Mangrove so you will need to pay $10 for a boat. It is worth doing. But the village people will make you buy more stuff during the boat tour, so unless you pay some money, the boat does not go forward. That was the only thing I didn't like about.

Recommend If You need a break from temple hopping

I did a half day morning tour with Sam? (Sang? Sorry I can't remember his name). Booking process was easy - The instructions said to be in hotel lobby from 7:30 - 8:30. I got picked up at 8:10 and he apologized because the other customers hotel was far. I didn't mind since he was still technically on time. My group had just another family of 3 and then myself (4 total - so fairly small group). Our tourguide was great. He spoke English very well and gave us fun facts about the town on the way to the lake. We drove the van through a small village to the lake. To be honest, the lake itself isn't THAT impressive in terms of view. BUT the floating village was cool to see. It's an extra $5 to row through the mangroves - THIS IS A MUST. This experience really made the whole trip worth it. Riding the row boat was amazing because you get so close to the village and the mangroves was something I've never seen before.

Such an incredible experience! I've...

Such an incredible experience! I've never seen a village like this in my life and it was great to see it with such a knowledgable tour guide. He took the time to explain everything to me in grave detail and had fantastic English. We went inside the Buddhist Temple and he was able to explain every painting on the wall and answered all my questions and told me stories of what the paintings symbolized turns out the tour guide was a monk for 12 years before becoming a tour guide. I would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing a beautiful and unique part of Cambodia with a very knowledge guide. Great gun and great experience!

Vero paese galleggiante!

Paearom was our guide

We had an excellent trip with our guide who picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable mpv . Our guide was extremely informative and we enjoyed his company and knowledge. There was another couple as well. We drove to to harbour on the lake Tonie Sap which is the largest in Asia. We got on a boat which in total lasted about 1 1/2 hours, which was amazing passing houses on stilts and seeing families fishing etc. We then had an option for a small charge to go on a canoe steered by a lovely elderly lady and joining us was a young pretty child who encouraged us to buy things from the floating village, it was fun and a great time going through the mangoes and seeing the life here. We ended at a crocodile station where there were also snakes and turtles. Very interesting. Also a shop. Water was supplied by the tour. Would recommend this trip to all ages. Thank you

The guide Kim is English speaking...

The guide Kim is English speaking and kept us entertained throughout the tour. The fee payable for this tour is the boat ride USD5 through the jungle which is optional but I will recommend to take it. The boat also took us to watch sun-set which is beautiful. Overall I enjoyed this tour.
