Very informative tour

Traveled with family with tour guide Sophie. We took the 3 temple tour. Sophie was very informative and gave a history and the role of religion in shaping the borders in the region. My concept about, what i believe, was a peacefull religion was changed when Sophy showed us evidence of defacing older belief system by the newer ones, at that era in this part of the world. Sophy also briefly discussed the recent genocide in the 1970’s The vehicle that was used has a very good aircon and they were always offering us cold water to cool down. It was alot to absorb.

A friendly expert guide makes the tour so much better

This trip was the third time my wife and I have visited the temples at Angkor Watt but only the first time we’d hired a guide to show us around – Having Nak Chum as our guide made this visit with our 6-year-old son easy and memorable - we learnt so much more about the history of the different temples and were shown fascinating details that we’d otherwise have missed. Our friendly, humorous guide Nak was absolutely fantastic. His English was fluent and he had expert knowledge of the temples which made this our best visit there. Nak was great with our young son and always happy to answer the many questions a six-year-old has; because Nak has the knowledge we don’t, it was great to having him there to explain more to our son than we ever could about the temples. Having an air-conditioned van and plenty of cold water for travelling between temples was also a lifesaver on an incredibly hot day. By having a guide, we definitely got so much more out of the experience - Nak is an excellent guide and we highly recommend having him take you to the temples.

Excellent

A really wonderful tour. Such a beautiful place. Walking in nature and seeing the history. Our tour guide Sin was amazing, learning the history was fascinating. Definitely much better driving between sites in an air conditioned van in the June heat. Highly recommend!

Don’t go solo, get a guide!

Our guide Sath was a really good guy. He answered any questions I had, even besides Angkor Wat, and we learned a lot about Cambodia. We were the only ones who booked this day, so we essentially got a private tour in a tuktuk. For this reason he thoughtfully accommodated a slightly later pickup for us. The tuktuk was new and well-kept, and the driving by Mr Sim was smooth. We got cold water every time we returned to the tuktuk, I think about 3-4 bottles, along with cold wet wipes. For the price you really can’t complain. Going with a tour guide instead of solo means you get more value out of your Angkor ticket, and it doesn’t become just a series of temples. Sath provided us with context for the temples and pointed out a couple of details. His English was understandable and he took plenty of photos of us. He even helped us buy durian on the way back to our hotel! The only reason I’m not giving this experience a five-star rating is because I had some difficulty understanding his English at times. His conduct (and Mr Sim’s) was excellent.

I had an amazing time on the Small-Group Explore Angkor Wat Tour with Green Era Travel from Siem Reap!

From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized and incredibly enjoyable. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the history and significance of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. His insights and storytelling brought the ancient ruins to life, making the experience both educational and captivating. The tour was well-paced, allowing us ample time to explore each site without feeling rushed. The small group size made it feel more personal and engaging. We also appreciated the comfortable transportation and the thoughtful touches, like cold water and refreshing towels, provided throughout the day. Thank you, Green Era Travel, for a fantastic and memorable day!
