Nice angkor wat group tour... knowledgeable guide

This tour was very well done. Borain was a great guide and provided a ton of information on each of the temples. He is also very helpful with taking pics. Highly recommend.

Halve dag Kompong Phluk

Best tour guide ever!

We have joined 2 tours to explore Angkor Wat, and met Mr.Phearom in these two days. He gave us detailed and interesting explanation on the history and architectural facts of the temples. It was great that he could always bring us to somewhere less tourists and explore the different side of the temples. You could feel his passion and beloved towards his own country, which brought us a memorable experience in siem reap.

Pleasant half door excursion of Kompong Phluk and Tonle Sap Lake

We are fortunate to have a very patience English speaking guide Mr. Borain to accompany us for this trip. He is very punctual and waited earlier than us at our hotel lobby for the morning pickup. The pick-up vehicle is a comfortable and clean 10-seater van. Adequate bottled mineral water is provided, and prepared chilled ! What a relief for us during the mid-year hot season ! Once in the van, Mr. Borain gave us an overview on the visit and some expectation and highlights. Though we could get most of the information about the visit online and from other reviewers, there is always some hidden jewel or insider tip on the visit. So be prepared to listen and ask. The local guide is more than happy to share those tip with you, which made us even more enthusiastic on the visit. The journey to Kompong Phluk is about 45 minutes, slightly out of the city and Angkor Wat area. But Mr. Borain was capable to keep the journey enjoyable by feeding us with many historical background and current development about the village. More importantly, we were made aware that part of the cost we paid for the tour is channeled toward the tourism development and education welfare of the needy children of that village. This is a win-win formula for a sustainable tourism model for any part of the world. The best part of our visit is the low tourist season durng mid-year, which relieved us from the long queue and crowd during the boat ride. This has also allowed us to take as many photos during the trip without any rush. Mr. Borain has been very kind to help us as a photographer when we need to take a family or group photo at certain memorable locations or highlights throughout the visit. One important tip for any tourist visit from the end of May to the month of June, please bring along some light rain coat or umbrella due to the raining season. Otherwise it would be very hot, humid and dusty for most part of the year. Wear a comfortable walking shoes with light comfortable clothing would be suffice for most part of your visit in Seam Reap. Finally, our heartfelt thanks to our capable guide Mr. Borain for his proficiency in English and his patience in leading the tour. Well done to him !

Kulen moutain, reclining Buddha & waterfalls with the 1,000 lingas at the river bed

We traveled in a small group just us and another family so it was quite private. Our tour guide Sela was very organized, professional, fluent in English. He was very knowledgeable and on time. We cannot ask for a better tour guide! It’s very hot and humid in June though so if you plan to travel to Siem Reap I would suggest another month unless you don’t mind that. When we went on our own during our free time we went to the night market. You have to be aware of the tuk2 drivers and sales people in the night markets overpricing everything! That was very disappointing! It’s not very tourist friendly in that sense- their government needs to do something about that. Also they made Siem Reap “tourists price” so they accept US dollars it was not as cheap as other asean countries I traveled to. Some of the sales girls would price the items 4-5 times the price they will eventually sell it to you! Not all of them but we did encounter some because we bought items from another place then wanted more. We we’re priced- 5x the price we paid at another place. When we told the sales girl that we already bought it at 1/5 price then she gave it to us. Then we heard her do it again to someone else. Disappointing! Food? For the price most of the quality and quantity not so good at the local tourist traps better to eat at restaurant that looks decent it’s worth it. After we tried their local dish Amok and their barbecue and other local dishes for 2 days, We we’re ready to eat Japanese, Italian, Thai anything else! You only really need to spend an entire day in Siem Reap to see the major Temples. The Linga river wasn’t what I expected really just good marketing. The only thing that made the tour pleasant was the tour guide. Sela was really pleasant and knowledgeable. He kept giving us cold water, we really needed it. Thank you Sela!

Trip to Angkor Wat and other Temples in Siem reap

Tour guide was great and helped us take pictures at various locations throughout the trip. He also made a short stop for us to collect something - that was really helpful! We had fun! Only thing was that during the pick up we had to wait for a long time for some other travellers who were late... maybe there should be a maximum wait time of 15 minutes just to be fair for other travellers in future!

Well Organised

System is well organised. You can buy Tickets for One day, Three Days and Seven days. In case you are planning to visit temples more than a day, Three day ticket is worth it. Carry US Dollars with you in Siem Reap. Pass provides entry to all the Angkor Archaeological Park but not for Phnom Kulen National Park. Entry to Phnom Kulen National Park is US$ 20 per individual. One can buy these tickets on line and delivered at your Hotel.

Half day Kampong Phluk, Tonle Sap Lake front Siem Reap

. Se tiene que experimentar y reflexionar. The visit, the route, the guide, the transport all very good. The landscape contrast and the life of the locals and the smile of their children in their school learning English with the hope of having a better life ... Interesting experience for our 14-year-old son and his reflection "... when the children asked me what I like to do in my spare time, I did not tell them to play with the PlayStation game ... I said playing football ... "," ... they seem more educated than some of my school friends ... ". You have to experience and reflect.
