Itinerary

The guide will pick up you at 8 am from your hotel and we will start this day with exploring the temples of UNESCO listed Angkor National Park, the World Heritage site and it's the World Largest Religious Monument. Pay the entrance fee on your own account at the ticket office where we will stop for you to buy one and make your way with the guide to the first stop at Angkor Wat to visit the largest and most impressive of all Angkor temples, considered among one of the 7th Wonders of the World.

Angkor Wat was built between 1113-1150 AD and dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It's the best preserved of all the temples. Its layout and its scale are simply breathtaking, the wall surrounding the enclosure measures 1,000 by 800 meters and the moat, said to represent the oceans of the world is 200 meters wide. Angkor Wat is an architectural allegory of the mythical Mount Meru in the center of the world (Himalaya). This amazing temple homes the longest continuous bas relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls.

We also explore the Angkor Thom complex. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. Inside the walls the king, his relatives and officials, military officers and priests took residence, the rest of the people lived outside of the great enclosure, between the two artificial lakes. Our visit will begin with the South Gate, a beautiful introduction to Angkor Thom with well-restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge. Inside the complex, we will first visit the Bayon with 200 endless smiling faces. This temple mountain situated in the center of Angkor Thom City where sets the Bayon apart from many other Angkor monuments and we will continue to the Elephant Terrace, which owes its name to its outstanding depiction of these animals and the Terrace of Leper King, which presents a magnificent sculpture, popularly known as the leper king and then we continue the tour to Ta Phrom was a monastery built by the king Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother as well as a school.

Ta Phrom has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you will climb through the dilapidated stone structures you will see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. At every turn you will expect to see Indiana Jones (Lara Croft) step out from behind a fallen pillar around you.

This tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel or any requested drop off point within the city center.

Great times in Angkor Wat and adjacent temples.

Roem our guide was great as was our tuk tuk driver. This was a honeymoon trip for me and my wife. We loved the experience and learned a lot about the Khmer history and the amazing temples and their background. Highly recommended if you have only limited time.

Memorable family trip to Angkor Vat temples

The tour was well organised and having Vireak, our guide, was great. Vireak is very knowledgeable and explained in detail about Angkor Vat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prom temples. He took some excellent pictures for us which made great memories. All in all, a great trip and special thanks to Vireak for making it more enjoyable and memorable.

A must-do tour with a great company!

Our tour at Angkor Wat was excellent. It started very early, at 4:30 AM, and our guide, Vireak Mok, came right on time, when we were picked up from our hotel, since we chose the sunrise tour. Definitely do the sunrise one, there are amazing views from there. Our guide was outstanding, he ensured we got their early so other people would not block our view of the temple. We were a party of seven, with five adults and two children, and we paid USD $175 for all of us. Vireak was very passionate about explaining the Angkor Wat and answered questions we had. He was fluent in English and an A/C van was there to take us from place to place. Our tour lasted about 9 hours, and he took us to a lunch place afterwards. We had a great experience at Angkor Wat and would definitely recommend this guide and the sunrise tour! Keep in mind cloud cover can play a role in your experience .

Angkor Wat Tour

This trip was awesome. The Angkor Wat temple exceeded my expectations. Sophy, our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend him as your guide. Our driver was also great, Mr. Sophel. He had cold water and cold wash clothes ready for us at the car after each temple. I would recommend this tour.

Siem Rep and Angkor Wat A fantastic experience.

Our tour and guide made all seamless , for us to experience this travel wonder. I would suggest that you plan on getting your travel pass ahead. Also get a good night's sleep ahead of the tour days, for mornings start really early and the walks from temples to temples and other attractions are a lot.

Angkor Wat done the right way

Great excursion! Sophal was an excellent guide with great English skills. They accommodated our timeline well (we were finishing breakfast when they arrived for pickup). Tour was from 07:30 to 13:00. It was awesome having a tour guide for the temples, getting to know lots of history and tidbits. Van was very nice with air conditioning, lots of water and cold wipes were given after each temple (3 total). Sophal took fantastic pictures of us! Other things to note - we stopped to pick up Angkor tickets before -$37 USD per person.

Ankor Wat with Tourguide Sophy

We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples today— and we owe it all to our outstanding team: our Tour Guide, Sophy, and our Tuk-Tuk Driver, Mr. Cheat! Sophy is an exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced, and engaging male guide. He truly explained absolutely everything in such detail that we gained a deep understanding of the Khmer Empire’s history. Sophy’s tours are captivating, full of fascinating facts, and his passion for the temples is contagious. His guidance made the scale and significance of the sites come alive. We also highly recommend Mr. Cheat, our professional Tuk-Tuk driver! He provided flawless and relaxed logistics throughout the entire day. His Tuk-Tuk was comfortable, he was always punctual at every pickup point, and he drove very safely. The absolute highlight of his superior service was that we received fresh, chilled water from Mr. Cheat after every single stop—a massive relief in the heat! He is the definition of reliability and excellent customer care. So, if you are looking for the very best and smoothest experience when visiting the Angkor complex, book this team! Sophy and Mr. Cheat are an unbeatable duo who will make your visit unforgettable. We give them our highest recommendation for every traveler!
