Day 1 - Phnom Penh
You can arrive anytime at the hotel during the morning before the group meeting at Noon, followed by a welcome lunch. After lunch we will begin the exploration of the capital city by tuk-tuk, the traditional mean of transportation of Indochina. We will visit the Royal Palace includes Wat Preah Keo, better known as the Silver Pagoda. This amazing place, which floor is covered with 5000 silver plates, houses the Preah Keo or emerald Buddha made of Baccarat crystal. In front stands a 90 kg golden Buddha studded with 9584 diamonds. Then visit National Museumnearby is the home of Khmer art, mostly sculptures.

Day 2 - Phnom Penh – cycling ~32 km
This morning, after breakfast, we cycle about 15 km south of the city to Choeung Ek, a mass gravesite known to the locals as the Killing fields after the popular movie of Roland Joffre. Then, on the way back, we will stop at the main center of the NGO “Pour un sourire d’enfant” which works to support underprivileged children who work and live in the streets and around the Stung Meanchey garbage dump in Phnom Penh. We will visit this place and watch a movie about their activities before having lunch at their vocational training restaurant “le Lotus blanc”. After lunch we will cycle back to the city center and visit the Tuol Sleng museum, a former high school converted to a detention and torture centre by the Khmers Rouges when they came to power in 1975. Day 3 - Phnom Penh to Takeo – cycling ~78 km
After breakfast, we will start our cycling trip to the south is province of Takeo. We will travel through the Cambodian countryside, passing bucolic villages and scenic rice paddies. On the way, we will have plenty of opportunities of break to visit temples and villages, to meet monks and farmers and learn about Khmer culture and rural life. We will be able to stop at different food stands along the road and taste the local products such as delicious fruits and palm sugar or for the more challenging some grilled frogs or deep-fried crickets. After about 30 km of cycling we will stop for lunch at the popular picnic area of Tonle Bati. Beside the tranquility of the Bati River and shady foliage, we also visit Ta Prohm and Yeay Peau Temples. We will arrive in the provincial capital city of Takeo in late afternoon. After chek-in at our hotel, you will have some time to rest your legs before heading out to dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 - Takeo to Kampot province – cycling ~75 km
After breakfast, we will to the south. Cycling will be similar to yesterday with many opportunities to take picturesque photos of people at work in the rice fields, strange vehicles. We will also cross swarms of school children by bike on the way to school as well as peaceful water buffaloes lying on pond along the road. We will stop en route for a picnic lunch, giving us time to rest our legs and enjoy the landscape. Our destination is the small city of Kampot which we should reach by mid afternoon. We will check in at our hotel and then you will have time to stroll around this quiet town to see the old French colonial building, to relax yourself with a drink in one of the friendly riverside cafes or with a blind massage. Day 5 - Kampot to Sihanouk Ville – cycling ~65 km
Today, we will cycle along the coast, on the scenic national road 3 which roves between the Gulf of Thailand and the Elephant mountains, passing some colorful fishing villages. We will stop for picnic lunch on the way before cycling to meet our bus and transfer the last 40 kilometers to avoid the heavy traffic around Sihanouk Ville. This is Cambodia’s leading beach resort. There are white-sand beaches around the headland, un-spoilt islands of the coast and the popular Khal Chhay waterfall. As we will arrive there at about 4pm, we will go for a relaxing drink at the Starfish Bakery Café before heading to dinner. Day 6 – Sihanouk Ville
Here, you will have a full day to unwind and enjoy the beautiful tropical environment. No activities are planned today, but there are many sights around the city which are interesting to explore. You can spend the day in one of the numerous beautiful beaches around the peninsula, explore the surroundings of the city, or visit the maritime national park of Ream by boat to see the mangroves and wildlife on the shore. If someone is interested in diving, this will be possible with Ecosea Dive. Tonight, we will have dinner and drinks at some of local restaurants and bars along the beaches to enjoy sunset on the sea.

Day 7 – Sihanouk Ville - boat trip
Today, we will organize a boat trip on the Gulf of Thailand. The boat will stop close to islands with rocky reefs providing a rich marine life for snorkeling before to shore to an island with uninhabited sandy beaches where you will relax while your guide will prepare lunch. Day 8 – Sihanouk Ville to Phnom Penh
After breakfast, we will return at Phnom Penh. This journey will take us about 4 hours and we will arrive in Phnom Penh at noon time for check-in before having lunch. Then you will have free time to discover the city on your own.

Day 9 - Phnom Penh to Kompong Thom– cycling ~35 km
Today, after breakfast, we will drive to Kampong Thom Province, North of Phnom Penh. On the way, we will stop at the village Skun. If you are looking for a snack, you will get the chance to taste the local specialty, the delicious famous fried spiders (Tarantula called A ping in Khmer). Never try, never know, that’s our motto! A two-three hours drive through a beautiful countryside will take us to the central city. Then we will check in and have lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, we will cycle to Sambor Prei Kuk. This is the setting of the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments anywhere in Cambodia. There are more than 100 small temples, scattered through the forest.

Day 10 – Kompong Thom to Siem Reap – cycling ~ 45 km
After breakfast, we are leaving Kompong Thom for Siem Reap by public bus. After arriving in Siem Reap, we will check in at our hotel. Siem Reap is the gateway to the outstanding temples of Angkor. After check in you will have time to relax for the rest of the day.

Day 11 - Siem Reap – Ankgor temples – cycling ~ 30 km
Today, after breakfast, we will ride our bicycle to the temples complex. First stop at the jungle temple of Ta Prohm. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you will climb through the dilapidated stone structures you will see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. At every turn you will expect to see Indiana Jones or Lara Croft step out from behind a fallen pillar. Afterwards, we will continue to bike through the Victory gate to the royal city of Angkor Thom. Our visit will begin with the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of Leper King. Then, we will cycle north to the complex to visit the temple of Preah Khan, a labyrinth of pavilions, halls and chapels in a vast area encloses by four walls, before having lunch in a local restaurant around the temple. In the afternoon, we will cycle south through Angkor Thom to visit the temple of Bayon, a pyramid temple decorated by about 200 gigantic carved heads. Then we will continue to the complex of Angkor Wat, the largest and most impressive of all the temples. The wall surrounding the enclosure measures 1,000 by 800 meters This amazing temple homes the longest continuous bas relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls. Day 12 - Siem Reap - Banteay Srey Temple – cycling ~75 km
This morning, after breakfast, we will cycle to Angkor and then continue 20 km north through the countryside to Banteay Srei temple – the Citadel of women, decorated with superbly intricate reliefs of male and female divinities. On the way we will cycle through the picturesque countryside and will pass over some small villages. It is a nice way to learn how local people run their daily life. We will have lunch at a local restaurant near the temple. On the way back, we will stop at the Cambodian Landmine museum and Rehabilitation Centre which promotes mine awareness and people. Then we will cycle back to the hotel and you will have time to relax by the swimming pool before dinner.

Day 13 – Siem Reap - Countryside – cycling ~ 35 km
After breakfast, we will follow some small bucolic roads west of Siem Reap toward Puok village. We will cycle through villages before we reach the Sangkheum Center for Children, an NGO which provides a home for orphaned, abused or neglected children, as well as general education and selected vocational training. We will visit the center to learn more about their work and see the children in training in the workshops. Afterwards we will go to the Western Baray, an ancient reservoir. On the island in the middle of the Baray stand the ruins of the western Mebon temple. This artificial lake is now a recreational place for the locals who flock here on the weekend. We will have lunch in this lovely place and spend a part of the afternoon by swimming and tubing or with a boat trip to the island to visit the ruins of the western Mebon. On the way back, we will stop at the small village of Banteay Chreu to visit the popular Buddhist temple Svay Romeat from where we can have a whole view of the surrounding countryside, the Western Baray and the airport. Then, we will continue our ride back to town.

Day 14 – Siem Reap - Tonle Sap lake – cycling ~ 30 km
After breakfast, we will cycle along the Siem Reap River to the Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest lake of Southeast Asia. We will take a boat for two hours, passing through the floating villages, to see how local people run their daily lives. Then we will return to the hotel for check-out before having lunch in town. Free to explore Siem Reap on your own before transfer to your departure point.
